OMG is it really June already? This time next year I’ll be planning something for my big 50, oh crikey, how time flies. Can’t complain though, the weather has been glorious so far and both Bank Holiday’s in May have been a real treat. Not much time for crafting as I’ve been outdoors quite a bit and life is still busy, busy, busy.
But my fellow Jems and crafty mates are here to ensure I do something in the month at least and I love to take part in our monthly Blog Hop. So June’s blog hop is all about the brand new Stampin’ Up catalogue which was due out on 1st June and the new 2016/2018 in colours, OMG did you hear that?
The brand new Stampin’ Up catalogue is due out NOW!
Can’t wait to put my order in for some fabulous products. I hope you enjoyed your visit from Sarah Lindsay’s page and will be inspired with my efforts.
I used the new in colour DSP 6″ x 6″ pack as shown on page 174 of the catalogue (product code: 141657) at only £9.00 per pack for 48 sheets.
Here are my makes which I feel are quite masculine, hope you like them…
I used the new in colour Peekaboo Peach, cut a triangle from the DSP pack (details above) and cut off 1cm and turned it over to reveal the reverse side and put it together for a border. I scrunched up several cuts from the 1″ circle punch of green tissue paper to make the bobble for the top of t he hat. This designed was cased from our retired catalogue for 2016.
This card used the Number of Years framelits (page 193, products code: 140622) and uses scraps of paper from the DSP pack. A simple and masculine card, me thinks.
And finally I used the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits (page 191, product code: 137547) to hold a gift card for the birthday boy, nice and simple.
I’ve made quite a few of these cards with lots of different DSP and they all turned out fab. Hope you like them too.
