Oh the irony…

08/06/202122/11/2021

The woman who defrauded and stole from our business (Rebecca Johnson nee Hadfield) who was found out in 2014/15 and eventually punished for her crimes in 2018 is now running her own craft business. The irony is… that it was me who introduced her to crafting and fibre arts/mixed media and also taught her how to knit and crochet, I even bought her all the startup tools and also gifted her a sewing machine for Christmas one year. Gosh how she fool us!

One must hope that having rehabilitated (as we have no way of knowing for definite whether her 2 year rehabilitation programme with the UK probationary services was successful or not) and that she has reflected upon her past demeanours and become a better person. One can only hope, that with good help, you can perhaps change your ways although I am sceptical of psychopaths ?. But I do believe that everyone deserves a second chance no matter what.

So that being said, it is clear that she has perfected these crafts in particular crocheting and has made herself a business from it. So all I can say is ‘good luck’ to her! I don’t bear her any malice, I’d just be mindful not to trust her with anyone’s credit card, my husband and I have moved on from that dreadful experience which has made us stronger personally and in business.

You might be asking why have I brought this up then? Well honestly I just had to mention it on my creative blog as an update for all my family and friends as they will most definitely see the irony in this bit of historic news as well as having a nosey at what she does for a living now.

Love this quote and so true, enjoy everyday in the here and NOW!

So finally!!! Some semblance of normality where we can travel around the UK (so I might be able to get to see my sister at last, who lives in Norfolk), and we can see our children and grandchildren and treat them to a nice meal out, INSIDE! Small things but they amount to a lot when you have been cooped up for 15 months. We’ve seen a couple of close friends over the period but life has been pretty boring and since the shops have opened I’ve spent a small fortune ?

Living in Bolton is a worry at the moment with the lastest Indian variant dominating the community and the media. Please God I hope the vaccine will keep it at bay and we don’t go back into some kind of regional lockdown ?

I’m still trying to declutter my hobbies and will have to make a start on selling my stuff on ebay soon. I’m loving going to my new caravan in Wales so I’ve not been as productive as I intended to be but hey ho I deserve a bit of a break. Rhyl has an amazing car boot sale every Sunday so I might try and sell some of my wares on that, we will have to see how much effort it takes. Anyway keep posted for some bargain sales which I hope to post soon as I need the space ?

Stay safe and be happy ?

Happy birthday!

25/04/202125/04/2021

To my beautiful daughter Emma who was 25 on Wednesday and to my gorgeous baby boys Max & Paddy who are 15 today!

Max & Paddy now 15 years old

They are both showing signs of old age now with Paddy struggling on his legs (probably arthritis) and my poor Maxi having major trauma with his eyes, having a corneal ulcer in his right eye and the vet advising that he has it taken out. OMG so distressing. Unfortunately his pre-op showed too high a risk of him going under so I decided against it and with lots of prayers I’m hoping he is not in too much pain. We are putting lots of drops in his eyes and painkillers when necessary. Poor Max he has always had so much trouble. I nearly lost him 3 and a half years ago, fortunately he pulled through to fight another day.

Everyday now with them both is a blessing in my eyes. They are my babies, my best friends, my emotional support having got me through a terrible time at the end of 2014/2015 (read about it here). Without them being dependent on me I don’t think I would have gotten out of bed at that time. But I had to function to look after them and they got me through a very depressing and emotional time. God Bless my babies Max and Paddy, I love you with all of my ❤️
